During the Edo period in Japan, people were fascinated by journeys, the changing seasons, and the enjoyment of wagashi, a traditional Japanese sweet treat. Explore On the Road: Journeys through Japanese Woodblock Prints discovering the many journeys through seasons to inspire the creations of sweet treats kneaded from bean paste, sculpted, and coloured to reflect nature’s beauty and seasonal themes. Spend a full-filled afternoon creating artful confections to take home, a tradition enjoyed for hundreds of years. Please note creating wagashi requires close supervision for participants under 8 years of age. All materials and supplies are provided. Space is limited; register early to reserve your spot.
