Slice of Life Collages | 18+
Saturday, November 7 - December 12 | 1:00-4:00pm
Studio Instructor, Everett Wong | 6 SessionsAGGV Studio 1040 Moss Street

Artists have long found inspiration in everyday moments. Drawing from Japanese woodblock prints in the Asian Art Collection, part of A View From Here: Reimagining the AGGV Collections, participants will create mixed-media works which range from abstract to lyrical and illustrative. Explore colour with gouache, watercolours, paint pens, pencil crayons, and wax-based crayons. Try paper weaving and quilting with washi tape and found ephemera to form paper compositions. Inspired by Japanese artists who captured daily life centuries ago, participants can use a range of materials and techniques to depict contemporary experiences, as well as fantastical or idealized slices of life. All materials and supplies are provided. Space is limited; register early to reserve your spot.
