This beginner-friendly course explores watercolour, ink, and graphite techniques inspired by the exhibition ਸ਼ੀਸ਼ੇ ‘ਚ ਤਰੇੜ | sheeshe ‘ch thareṛ | a crack in the mirror. Participants will have the opportunity to sketch from Simranpreet Anand’s works in the exhibition, slowing down to consider that many everyday items we see, buy, and use are not just things; they carry the weight of culture, migration, and history. Participants will learn colour mixing, tonal value, texture, and composition. These skills will help them reflect on their perceptions of everyday items and personal links to origin, family, and traditions.
