The exhibition Millennia: Asian Art Through the Ages, documented through this publication, is a testament of the relentless mission by the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria to acquire and study the best of Asian Art. Though the AGGV started collecting Asian art in 1950, the scope and scale of this aspect of the Gallery's collection has, to a large extent, been the product of Barry Till, who has been AGGV's Curator of Asian Art since August 1, 1981. 

The nature of this publication is vast, eclectic, and covers much of the compass of Asia. It provides an overview of selected works in the diverse Asian art collection at the AGGV.
