In recent years, early 20th century Japanese Banko ware has become a popular item to collect. However, there is still a great lack of information on ware of this period; and to our knowledge there has never been a book other than the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria's Banko ware publication dedicated solely to later Banko ware. The AGGV is fortunate to have this wonderful collection of Japanese Banko ceramics donated by Carol Potter Peckham of San Francisco which is represented in this publication.
