Instructor - Sarah M. Nishida

Join Japanese artist Sarah M. Nishida for an exciting two-day workshop where participants will create their own original katana and experience a simple Japanese sword fight. While crafting their DIY swords from cardboard, they’ll learn the basics of Japanese sword structure and discover the differences between Japanese and Western swords. At the end of the workshop, everyone will perform an action scene together. Participants will also take home their original swords. The goal of this workshop is to enjoy the beautiful spring weather while learning about the history of the Samurai and experiencing the art of Japanese sword techniques.
