In this fun and dynamic course, we’ll explore the bold and vibrant use of colour in pop art, drawing inspiration from the iconic works of Andy Warhol and Banksy from the current exhibition, From Warhol to Banksy. Pop art is known for its graphic, larger-than-life colours that bring everyday imagery into the realm of high art. In this week-long camp, we’ll experiment with acrylic paints to create impactful, pop-inspired works.
Students will learn how colour can be used to grab attention, create depth, tell a story, and transform simple subjects into striking art. Through hands-on projects, you will discover your own ways of responding to the popular culture of today.
