Stories We See: Exploring Contemporary Art with the AGGV

$30.00

In this season’s installment of OFFSITE | INSIGHT, our education team is pleased to present an engaging series focusing on contemporary art. This weekly program takes place every Thursday in November (5 sessions), 7 – 8:30PM.

Location: Community Theatre and Activity Rooms at Berwick House
4062 Shelbourne St, Victoria

Through exposure to increasingly challenging images and objects from the AGGV’s collection, participants build upon observations, learn to organize and express ideas, and learn to formulate questions about contemporary works of art.

Individuals will acquire knowledge about the work and artists from multiple points of perspectives.  With the assistance of the facilitator, participants are encouraged to apply critical thinking skills to consider the context and the role that the work plays in helping to understand cultural stories.

Everyone has all the ability and skill required to participate.  The facilitator is there to create experiences where these skills are valued and become integral to the learning process for the benefit of everyone.

*Parking is available but carpooling is advisable.

25 spaces available. Registration and pre-payment of $30/full series required.

Need to miss 1 or 2 - no problem however we are unable to do partial refunds.
